Michael Dibdin was born in 1947. He went to school in Northern Ireland, and later to Sussex University and the University of Alberta in Canada. He lived in Seattle. After completing his first novel, The Last Sherlock Holmes Story, in 1978, he spent four years in Italy teaching English at the University of Perugia. Matteo Melchiorre

Dopo il dottorato di ricerca in Storia Sociale Europea dal Medioevo all'Età contemporanea conseguito nel 2010 all'Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, ha svolto l'incarico di ricercatore presso l'Università degli Studi di Udine, l'Università Ca' Foscari e l'Università Iuav e dal 2018 è direttore della Biblioteca del Museo e dell'Archivio Storico di Castelfranco Veneto.

Il suo campo di ricerca è la storia medievale, della montagna e dei boschi ai quali temi ha dedicato gran parte della sua produzione saggistica.

Nel 2022 ha pubblicato il suo primo romanzo, Il Duca, ottenendo l'anno successivo il Premio Bergamo e il Premio Alassio.

Franco Mario Arminio (1960) è un poeta, scrittore e regista italiano, autodefinitosi come «paesologo».
