Matteo Melchiorre

Dopo il dottorato di ricerca in Storia Sociale Europea dal Medioevo all'Età contemporanea conseguito nel 2010 all'Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, ha svolto l'incarico di ricercatore presso l'Università degli Studi di Udine, l'Università Ca' Foscari e l'Università Iuav e dal 2018 è direttore della Biblioteca del Museo e dell'Archivio Storico di Castelfranco Veneto.

Il suo campo di ricerca è la storia medievale, della montagna e dei boschi ai quali temi ha dedicato gran parte della sua produzione saggistica.

Nel 2022 ha pubblicato il suo primo romanzo, Il Duca, ottenendo l'anno successivo il Premio Bergamo e il Premio Alassio.

Amélie Nothomb, born Fabienne Claire Nothomb, was born in Etterbeek, Belgium on 9 July 1966, to Belgian diplomats. Although Nothomb claims to have been born in Japan, she actually began living in Japan at the age of two until she was five years old. Subsequently, she lived in China, New York, Bangladesh, Burma, the United Kingdom (Coventry) and Laos.
She is from a distinguished Belgian political family; she is notably the grand-niece of Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb, a Belgian foreign minister (1980-1981). Her first novel, Hygiène de l'assassin, was published in 1992. Since then, she has published approximately one novel per year with a.o. Cesare Pavese

Beppe Fenoglio

Beppe Fenoglio (born Giuseppe Fenoglio) was an Italian writer. His work was published in a critical edition after his death, but controversy remains about his book Johnny the Partisan, often considered his best work, which was published posthumously and incomplete in 1968.
The works of Fenoglio have two main themes: the rural world of the Langhe and the partisan war; equally, the writer has two styles: the chronicle and the epos. His first work was in the neorealist style: La paga del sabato (this was published posthumously too in 1969).

Gianrico Carofiglio

Gianrico Carofiglio (born 1961) is a novelist and former anti-Mafia judge in the Italian city of Bari. His debut novel, Involuntary Witness, was published in 2002 and translated into English in 2005 by Patrick Creagh and published by the Bitter Lemon Press, and has been adapted as the basis for a popular television series in Italy. Wu Ming (extended name: Wu Ming Foundation) is the collective pen name of four Italian writers: Roberto Bui, Giovanni Cattabriga, Federico Guglielmi and Riccardo Pedrini, respectively known as "Wu Ming 1", "Wu Ming 2", "Wu Ming 4" and "Wu Ming 5". "Wu Ming" means "anonymous" in Chinese. Although their real names are not secret, the four authors never use them.
