Daulat Bikram Bista was a prominent Nepali literary figure. He started his writing career by writing a poem "Aakha" which was published in 2004 B.S. He has received two major literary awards Madan Puraskar for his novel "Jyoti Jyoti Mahajyoti" in 2045 B.S. and Sajha Puraskar for story collections "Aansu Tyasai Tyasai Chhachalkinchha" in 2048 B.S.

Laxmi Prasad Devkota is a Nepali poet. Devkota is considered the greatest poet of Nepali language—he has been given the title of "Maha Kavi" ("The Great Poet") of Nepali language. Devkota was born into a Brahman family as the third son of Pandit Til Madhav and Amar Rajya Laxmi Devi.
