Azhari Aiyub

Azhari dilahirkan di pinggir Banda Aceh, 5 Oktober 1981.

Pernah kuliah di Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, FKIP, Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh.

Tahun 1999, ia meraih penghargaan cerpenis terbaik se-Aceh pada 1999, versi Taman Budaya Aceh. Kemudian pada 2003, ia mendapat penghargaan sebagai cerpenis terbaik se-Indonesia, versi Departeman Pendidikan Nasional, lewat puisinya ‘Dibalut Lumut’.

Saat ini, menghabiskan sebagian besar waktunya untuk Komunitas Tikar Pandan, sebuah lembaga yang fokus pada gerakan kebudayaan untuk Aceh.

Pramoedya Ananta Toer

Pramoedya Ananta Toer was an Indonesian author of novels, short stories, essays, polemics, and histories of his homeland and its people. A well-regarded writer in the West, Pramoedya's outspoken and often politically charged writings faced censorship in his native land during the pre-reformation era. Carlos María Domínguez

Carlos María Domínguez was born in Buenos Aires in 1955 and has lived in Montevideo, Uruguay since 1989.

Eka Kurniawan

Eka Kurniawan was born in Tasikmalaya in 1975 and completed his studies in the Faculty of Philosophy at Gadjah Mada University. Seno Gumira Ajidarma

Seno Gumira Ajidarma is a writer, photographer, and also a film critic. He writes short stories, novel, even comic book.

Ahmad Tohari

Ahmad Tohari is Indonesia well-knowned writer who can picture a typical village scenery very well in his writings. He has been everywhere, writings for magazines. He attended Fellowship International Writers Program at Iowa, United State on 1990 and received Southeast Asian Writers Award on 1995.

His famous works are trilogy of Srintil, a traditional dancer (ronggeng) of Paruk Village: "Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk", "Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari", and "Jantera Bianglala"

Y.B. Mangunwijaya

Yusuf Bilyarta Mangunwijaya was an architect, writer, Catholic priest, and activist. Romo Mangun (Father Mangun) was publicly known by his novel "Burung-Burung Manyar" which was awarded Ramon Magsaysay Award for South-East Asia Writings on 1996.

Not only active in the fiction genre, Romo Mangun also wrote many non-fiction and architectural works such as "Sastra dan Religiositas" [tr.: Literature and Religiosity] which won The Best Non-Fiction prize in 1982.

Budi Darma

Budi Darma lahir di Rembang, Jawa Tengah, 25 April 1937. Semasa kecil dan remaja ia berpindah-pindah ke berbagai kota di Jawa, mengikuti ayahnya yang bekerja di jawatan pos.
