Goliarda Sapienza was an Italian actress and writer. Goliarda Sapienza was born 10 May 1924 in Catania. Her mother was Maria Guidice, a prominent socialist, her father Peppino Sapienza, a socialist lawyer. As a child, Goliarda Sapienza reenacted films she had seen in cinema. In 1941 she and her mother went to Rome, where she studied theatre. She worked as an actor in both films and plays, but from 1958 she focused on writing. Nadat ze een jaar in een psychiatrische inrichting had gewerkt en na uitstapjes naar kunstgeschiedenis en pedagogiek, ging ze naar de drama-opleiding van de toenmalige Akademie voor Expressie door woord en gebaar in Utrecht.

Schrijven en illustreren werden voor haar echter steeds belangrijker. Via het kindertijdschrift St. Kitts van de Bovenwindse kwam ze in contact met Geerten Ten Bosch. Dat resulteerde in 1989 in het kinderboek De dame en de neushoorn, waarvoor Anne Vegter de tekst schreef en Geerten Ten Bosch illustreerde. Voor dit boek kregen ze in 1990 de Woutertje Pieterse Prijs.

Aivaras Veiknys

Aivaras Veiknys (b. 9 of January 1983 in Elektrėnai). Studied Real Estate Management in Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. His first book R aktai (Keys) was published in 2007.

Worked as a journalist in Lithuanian daily "Respublika", has been in Afghanistan and prepared reportage from there.
