Sylvia Plath üzerine incelemeler yaptı. Plath'ın bireyin yalnızlığına ve varoluş sorununa bakışı genç şairi etkiledi. Nilgün Marmara, şiirlerinde çoğunlukla, 1. tekil kişinin düşle gerçek arasında gidip gelen, kırılgan izleklerini kullandı.
Çeşitli dergilerde şiirleri yayımlandı. Küçük İskender, Lale Müldür, Orhan Alkaya, Cezmi Ersöz, Ece Ayhan, Gülseli İnal, Onur Göknil ve Serdar Aydın gibi şairleri derinden etkiledi.

1961 yılında Kırıkkale`de doğdu. 1985 yılında Marmara Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi`nden mezun olan sanatçının resim ve illüstrasyonları 1986 yılından bu yana yurtiçi ve yurt dışındaki bir çok sergi ve bienallerde sergilenmiştir.

Ambrazaitė's debut poetry collection Fragile Things (Trapūs daiktai, 2018) earned the Young Yotvingian Prize as a best young poet’s book and was announced as the 2018 Poetry Book of the Year. She was awarded the Young Artist’s Prize by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture in 2019. Her second poetry book ADELA (2022) was awarded the Jurga Ivanauskaitė Prize and included into several best Lithuanian books’ lists.

Tom Crosshill
