Guus Kuijer is a Dutch author. He wrote books for children and adults, and is best known for the “Madelief” series of children's books. For his career contribution to "children's and young adult literature in the broadest sense" he won the “Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award “from the Swedish Arts Council in 2012, the biggest prize in children's literature. Enne Koens

Enne Koens schrijft drama, proza en liedjes. Theater schreef ze onder andere voor theatergroep Artemis, theatergroep Max, De Toneelmakerij en het Gasthuis. Annet Schaap

Annet Schaap wilde altijd al tekenaar worden, of schrijver, of ontdekkingsreizigster.

Ze studeerde aan twee kunstacademies en een schrijversschool.

Sinds 1991 illustreerde ze bijna 200 kinderboeken en is in Nederland het meest bekend door haar tekeningen bij de succesvolle Hoe Overleef Ik-serie van Francine Oomen. Maar ze illustreerde ook veel boeken van andere geliefde schrijvers, zoals Janneke Schotveld, Manon Sikkel, Jacques Vriens, Annie M.G. Schmidt en Astrid Lindgren.

Marit Törnqvist

Marit Törnqvist is a Swedish-Dutch illustrator and author. She is the two-time recipient of the Dutch Zilveren Griffel award and was shortlisted for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. She is best known for her illustrations of Astrid Lindgren's books.

Törnqvist was born in 1964, in Sweden, to the author-illustrator Rita Törnqvist-Verschuur and Egil Törnqvist, a professor and academic literary critic. At the age of five, she moved to the Netherlands with her family, where she still lives today.

From 1982 to 1987 Törnqvist went to the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In 1989, she illustrated her first book The Christmas Carp , a collaboration with her mother.

Els Beerten is een Vlaams schrijfster.

Els Beerten werd geboren op 27 maart 1959 te Hasselt. Ze bracht haar kindertijd en jeugd door in Koersel.

Aan de KU Leuven studeerde ze Nederlands en Engels (1977-1981) en volgde tegelijkertijd een lerarenopleiding aan dezelfde universiteit. Daarna liep ze een aantal jaren dagschool aan de Toneelacademie van Maastricht.

Sinds 1985 onderwijst ze Nederlands, Engels en Creatief Schrijven aan het Sint-Jozefscollege van Aarschot.

I've been writing stories since I was twelve years old, but it was studying archaeology, especially prehistory, that really sparked my creativity. Working on excavations allows me to touch (pre)history in a very direct way, but to fit the pieces of the puzzle together, to reconstruct the missing parts of people's long-forgotten lives is something I love just as much. This inspired me to write my prehistoric children's novels, and I'm not done writing yet. The past is a far too mysterious and magical place to ever stop exploring!
