Herbert Werner was a Kriegsmarine naval officer who (by his own reckoning), was one of only about "two dozen captains still alive" at the end of World War II. He served in five U-boats, as an Ensign, Executive Officer and Captain in the Atlantic Ocean, the English Channel, the North Sea, the Baltic, the Norwegian Sea and the Mediterannean.

El nombre de dicha generación surge a raíz de un estudio crítico de la obra de Góngora que hizo a próposito de una edición de Soledades. Dicha edición crítica apareció en el año 1927, cuyo número acabó nombrando a tan fértil generación. Durante sus estudios en Madrid participó en la vida intelectual de la mítica Residencia de Estudiantes dónde llegó a coincidir con Buñuel, Dalí y Lorca, entre otros.

Juana Doña Jiménez fue una dirigente comunista, feminista, sindicalista y escritora española.

Se afilia a las Unión de Juventudes Comunistas de España en enero de 1933, con sólo 14 años. Nieves Concostrina (Madrid, 1961) es periodista y escritora. Donato Francisco Ndongo-Bidyogo Makina nació en 12 de diciembre de 1950 en Alén Efack, Niefang, Guinea Ecuatorial, se fue a vivir a España a los 14 años. Núria Cadenes i Alabèrnia (Barcelona, 18 de febrer de 1970) és una periodista, escriptora i militant independentista catalana, filla de Teresa Alabèrnia i Domènech.

Actualment viu a l’Horta Sud, prop de València. Treballa de llibretera i col·labora en diversos mitjans (VilaWeb, El Temps). Mercedes Salisachs

Mercedes Salisachs Roviralta (Barcelona, 18 de septiembre de 1916) es una escritora española.
Hija de un rico industrial barcelonés, Pedro Salisachs Jané, y de Sofía Roviralta Astul, recibió una educación esmerada y liberal-conservadora. Estudió peritaje mercantil en la Escuela de Comercio y en 1935 se casa con otro rico industrial también perito mercantil, fallecido en 1993. Con él tuvo cinco hijos, el segundo de los cuales, Miguel, murió con tan solo 21 años, siendo la fuente de inspiración para una de sus más conocidas novelas, La gangrena, con la que obtuvo el Premio Planeta en 1975.
Trabajó como directora editorial de Plaza & Janés y como decoradora.
