Conocido también por ser miembro de la banda terrorista ETA, condenado a 18 años (en total) de prisión en los años 80, de donde escapó. Fugado a Cuba, en 2021 vuelve a España con los delitos ya prescritos.

Miembro de Euskaltzaindia (la Real Academia de la Lengua Vasca) desde el 31 de enero de 1991.

Premio Euskadi de Literatura que le fue concedido en 2011.

Bernardo Atxaga

Bernardo Atxaga (Joseba Irazu Garmendia, Asteasu, Guipúzcoa, 1951) belongs to the young group of Basque writers that began publishing in his mother language, Euskara, in the Seventies. Graduated in Economics for the Bilbao University, he later studied Philosophy at the University of Barcelona.

His first short story, Ziutateaz was published in 1976 and his first book of poetry Etiopia in 1978. Both works received the National Critics Prize for the best works in the Basque language.

Federico García Lorca

Born in Fuente Vaqueros, Granada, Spain, June 5 1898; died near Granada, August 19 1936, García Lorca is one of Spain's most deeply appreciated and highly revered poets and dramatists. His murder by the Nationalists at the start of the Spanish civil war brought sudden international fame, accompanied by an excess of political rhetoric which led a later generation to question his merits; after the inevitable slump, his reputation has recovered (largely with a shift in interest to the less obvious works). Michael McDowell

Michael McDowell is a prolific horror writer who has distinguished himself with a varied body of work within the genre. He was born in Enterprise, Alabama, in 1950 and died of AIDS-related illness in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1999.

Delphine de Vigan
