Valmiki is celebrated as the poet harbinger in Sanskrit literature. He is the author of the epic Ramayana, based on the attribution in the text of the epic itself.He is revered as the Adi Kavi, which means First Poet, for he discovered the first śloka i.e. first verse, which set the base and defined the form to Sanskrit poetry. The Yoga Vasistha is attributed to him. A religious movement called Valmikism is based on Valmiki's teachings as presented in the Ramayana and the Yoga Vasistha.

Zahir Raihan

Zahir Raihan (Bangla: জহির রায়হান) was a Bangladeshi novelist, writer and filmmaker. He is perhaps best known for his documentary Stop Genocide made during the Bangladesh Liberation War.

He was an active worker of the Language Movement of 1952. The effect of Language Movement was so high on him that he made his legendary film Jibon Theke Neya based on it. In 1971 he joined in the Liberation War of Bangladesh and created documentary films on this great event.

He disappeared on January 30, 1972 while trying to locate his brother, the famous writer Shahidullah Kaiser, who was captured and killed by the Pakistan army. Evidences have been found that he was killed by some armed Bihari collaborators and disguised soldiers of Pakistan Army.
