Tomi Kontio

Tomi Kontio (s. 1966 Helsingissä) on ikäpolvensa arvostetuimpia ja kiitetyimpiä runoilijoita. Kontion runoja on käännetty muun muassa englanniksi, espanjaksi, ranskaksi, ruotsiksi, saksaksi, italiaksi, unkariksi ja viroksi. Hän on ollut Runeberg-palkintoehdokkaana novellikokoelmallaan Säädyttömät (Tammi, 1994) ja romaanillaan Uumen (Tammi, 1995).

Kontio on julkaissut myös lastenkirjoja. Yhdessä kuvittaja Elina Warstan kanssa tehty Isäni on hipsteri (2022) oli ehdolla arvostetun Arvid Lydecken -palkinnon saajaksi. Kontion ja Warstan Koira nimeltään kissa oli puolestaan ehdolla Pohjoismaiden neuvoston vuoden 2016 lasten- ja nuortenkirjallisuuspalkinnon saajaksi. Tove Jansson

Tove Jansson was born and died in Helsinki, Finland. As a Finnish citizen whose mother tongue was Swedish, she was part of the Swedish-speaking Finns minority. Thus, all her books were originally written in Swedish.
