Akilan

Akilan (Tamil: அகிலன்) was a Tamil author noted for his realistic and creative writing style. Akilan was a freedom fighter, novelist, short-story writer, journalist, satirist, travel writer, playwright, script-writer, orator and critic.He is also a children's novelist.

Early life

Akilan was the pen name of Akilandam, who was born on 27 June at Perungalore . He spent his childhood in a small hamlet called Perungalore near Pudukottai. His father Vaithiya Lingam Pillai was an accounts officer and adored his only son Akilan very much. Unfortunately, the boy lost his loving father at an early age. But his mother Amirthammal was a loving person, and being a creative person herself, she moulded her son into a writer.

Kannadasan

Kannadasan (24 June 1927 – 17 October 1981) was a Tamil poet and lyricist, heralded as one of the greatest and most important writers in the Tamil language. Frequently called Kaviarasu (English: King of Poets), Kannadasan was most familiar for his song lyrics in Tamil films and contributed around 5000 lyrics apart from 6000 poems and 232 books,[1] including novels, epics, plays, essays, his most popular being the 10-part religious essay on Hinduism, captioned Arthamulla Indhumatham (English: Meaningful Hindu Religion). Indira Parthasarathy

Indira Parthasarathy (commonly known as Ee. Paa.) is the pen name of R. Parthasarathy. Born on July 10, 1930 in Chennai in a traditional Iyengar family. He has received Indian government's Padma Shri award for the year 2010. Venkatram was born in Kumbakonam in a Sourashtra family. He obtained a B.A degree in Economics and was involved in silk Zari business. Na. Parthasarathy (Tamil: நா. பார்த்தசாரதி), was a writer of Tamil historical novels from Tamil Nadu, India.
