  Bimal Mukherjee (Bengali: বিমল মুখার্জী / বিমল মুখোপাধ্যায়) (1903–1996) was the first Indian globe trotter who travelled the entire world on a bicycle from the year 1926 to 1937. He wrote the book Du Chakay Duniya (দু'চাকায় দুনিয়া) about his experiences.
  
  The world voyage started on bicycle from Town Hall, Calcutta on December 12, 1926 and halted at Chandannagar for the first night.
  
  He and his three friends had crossed the Bohemian Alps in bicycles wearing flannel shirts and no woolen clothing in the month of December. They had kept warm by cycling vigorously and alternated keeping one hand in their pockets to prevent frostbite. When asked how they did the amazing feat.   Sunil Gangopadhyay

  Sunil Gangopadhyay (Bengali: সুনীল গঙ্গোপাধ্যায়) was a famous Indian poet and novelist.   Syed Waliullah was born on 15 August 1922 at Sholashahar in Chittagong. After completing his Bachelor’s from Ananda Mohan College in Mymensingh, he enrolled at Calcutta University but did not complete his Master’s. Proficient in both Bangla and English, he worked for the Statesman during 1945-1947. After the Partition, he moved to Dhaka and joined Radio Pakistan as assistant news editor. In 1950 he was posted to Radio Pakistan, Karachi. From 1951 to 1960 he served as press attache at Pakistan missions in New Delhi, Sydney, Jakarta and London.   Leela Majumdar (Bengali: লীলা মজুমদার Lila Mojumdar) was a Bengali writer. Her first story, Lakkhi chhele, was published in Sandesh in 1922. It was also illustrated by her. The children's magazine in Bengali was founded by her uncle, Upendrakishore Ray Chaudhuri in 1913 and was later edited by her cousin Sukumar Ray for sometime after the death of Upendrakishore in 1915. Together with her nephew Satyajit Ray and her cousin Nalini Das, she edited and wrote for Sandesh throughout her active writing life.   Samaresh Majumdar (Bangla: সমরেশ মজুমদার) was a well-known Bengali writer. He spent his childhood years in the tea gardens of Duars, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, India. He was a student of the Jalpaiguri Zilla School, Jalpaiguri. He completed his bachelors in Bengali from Scottish Church College, Kolkata.   Zahir Raihan

  Zahir Raihan (Bangla: জহির রায়হান) was a Bangladeshi novelist, writer and filmmaker. He is perhaps best known for his documentary Stop Genocide made during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
  
  He was an active worker of the Language Movement of 1952. The effect of Language Movement was so high on him that he made his legendary film Jibon Theke Neya based on it. In 1971 he joined in the Liberation War of Bangladesh and created documentary films on this great event.
  
  He disappeared on January 30, 1972 while trying to locate his brother, the famous writer Shahidullah Kaiser, who was captured and killed by the Pakistan army. Evidences have been found that he was killed by some armed Bihari collaborators and disguised soldiers of Pakistan Army.
