Renate Dorrestein

Renate Dorrestein (1954 - 2018) has been internationally praised for the force of her imagination, her sharp psychological insight, her suspenseful plots and her ironic sense of humour. Her books have been nominated for the AKO Literature Prize, the Libris Literature Prize and the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, and translated into fifteen languages. Her international breakthrough came in 1998 with A Heart of Stone, published by Viking.

Cees Nooteboom (born Cornelis Johannes Jacobus Maria Nooteboom, 31 July 1933, in the Hague) is a Dutch author. He has won the Prijs der Nederlandse Letteren, the P.C. Bernlef (previously J. Bernlef) is the pseudonym of Dutch writer, poet, and translator Hendrik Jan Marsman. He occasionally used the nom de plume: Henk Bernlef.

Hermine Heijermans

Hermine Marie Leendert Heijermans (1902-1983) was a Dutch stage actress, author and politician. She was the daughter of playwright Herman Heijermans and, under the name Minny Heijermans, performed in her father's company, the Tooneelvereeniging, from 1921 to 1938. After the Second World War she remained active as a comedian. Heijermans is best remembered as an author: she wrote several novels and a biography about her father. In 1976 she edited the ‘Boekenweekgeschenk’ titled “Snikken en smartlapjes”. In the 1960s and ’70s she was a columnist for Sekstant, the magazine of the NVSH. Heijermans was also member of the Amsterdam city council on behalf of the CPN.
