Pierre Lemaitre
Pierre Lemaitre is a French novelist and screenwriter. He is internationally renowned for the crime novels featuring the fictional character Commandant Camille Verhœven.
His first novel that was translated into English, Alex, is a translation of the French book with the same title, it jointly won the CWA International Dagger for best translated crime novel of 2013.
In November 2013, he was awarded the Prix Goncourt, France's top literary prize, for Au revoir là-haut (published in English as The Great Swindle), an epic about World War I. His novels Camille and The Great Swindle won the CWA International Dagger in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Eddy L. Harris
Eddy L. Harris is the author of six books, including Native Stranger (Vintage, 1992) and Still Life in Harlem (Holt, 1996), both selected as “Notable Books” of the year by the New York Times. He is the writer, producer, and subject of the new documentary film River to the Heart. Currently he is writing an accompanying book as well as an exploration of race in Eastern Europe. He lives in the village of Pranzac, France.

Petros Markaris
Petros Markaris (Greek: Πέτρος Μάρκαρης) was born in Istanbul to an Armenian father and a Greek mother. He is one of the most successful living Greek authors. After studying economics, Markaris went on to work as a screenplay writer. He has lived in Germany and Austria for several years and translated Goethe and Brecht into Greek. International fame came through his series of crime novels featuring the eccentric Athenian detective Kostas Haritos, of which there are now five. Markaris lives in Athens and also co-writes film scripts with Theo Angelopoulos.

Née à Paris en 1940, Kenizé de Kotwara est la fille d’une princesse turque, membre de la Dynastie ottomane (petite-fille du sultan Mourad V par sa mère Hatidjé Sultane) mariée à un rajah indien mais réfugiée à Paris. Orpheline de sa mère peu après sa naissance, elle est élevée dans un milieu catholique.
