Mel Hartman

Mel Hartman is a Flemish author who started writing poems, novels, children's stories and plays at the age of nine. As an adolescent she was fascinated by psychology, mythology, ufology, magic and dreams. Strange phenomena and strong women who save the day are her thing.

For her high school education she chose art history. After that she got a bachelor degree in clinical psychology. Immediately after graduation, she got her dream job at a sleep center where she worked as a sleep analyst, and she still does so on a freelance basis. So the dream world not only seeps through at night and into her books, but also IRL. Recently she joined Hamley Books Publishers as marketing project manager for foreign affairs.
