Procopius of Caesarea was born in the latter years of the fifth century at Caesarea in Palestine. He originated from the land-owning provincial upper class and, like Zosimus, became a civil servant. 1964 yılında İstanbul'da doğdu. Kabataş Erkek Lisesini bitirdikten sonra İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi son sınıfında okulu bıraktı. Ardından İstanbul Üniversitesi sosyoloji bölümüne girdi, 3 yıl sonra bıraktı. 1980'li yıllardan başlayarak günümüze kadar çeşitli dergilerde şiirler, eleştiriler, denemeler yazdı. İlk şiiri Milliyet Genç Sanat Dergisi'nde, İskender Över ismiyle çıktı. Profesyonel olarak 1985'te Adam Sanat Dergisinde şiirleri yayımlanmaya başladı.
