Lizette de Koning

Lizette de Koning (Den Haag, 1975) verhuisde al op jonge leeftijd naar Drenthe. Daar woonde ze vlak bij het bos – geweldig om in te spelen, vertelt ze. Een paar jaar later vertrok het gezin naar Rijswijk. Daar waren meer stoeptegels dan bomen. Maar dat vond Lizette niet zo erg, want inmiddels had ze leren lezen! Ze las vrijwel alle kinderboeken uit de bibliotheek, behalve die over enge monsters en draken, daar hield ze niet zo van. Ze schreef ook zelf verhaaltjes, over dieren. Daar hield ze namelijk wel van.

Lizette wilde dierenarts en schrijver worden. Dat eerste is niet gelukt, het tweede gelukkig wel. Haar dochters Jet en Maartje vormen een prima inspiratiebron, die brengen haar vaak op ideeën. Lizette schrijft vooral voor jonge kinderen
