Koen Schoors

Koen Schoors is professor aan de Universiteit Gent. Hij richt zich in zijn onderzoek voornamelijk op het bank-en financiewezen, de bedrijfsfinanciering en buitenlandse directe investeringen. In zijn opleiding en carrière stond de Russische economie vaak centraal. Zo is hij momenteel directeur van CERISE (Centrum voor Russische Internationale Socio-politieke en Economische studies).

Op vlak van economische crisissen is Koen Schoors specialist. Hij geeft regelmatig lezingen over dit onderwerp en wordt ook vaak als commentator in de media gevraagd om actuele socio-economische gebeurtenissen toe te lichten.

Jeroen Brouwers

Jeroen Brouwers was a Dutch journalist and writer.

From 1964 to 1976 Brouwers worked as an editor at Manteau publishers in Brussels. In 1964 he made his literary debut with Het mes op de keel (The Knife to the Throat).

He won the Ferdinand Bordewijk Prijs in 1989 for De zondvloed, and in 1995 the Prix Femina for International works for his book Bezonken rood (Sunken Red). Nino Haratischwili (Georgian: ნინო ხარატიშვილი) is a Georgian-born German novelist, playwright, and theater director.

Haratischwili was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she attended a German-language school. To escape the political and social chaos that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union, she moved to Germany for two years in the early 1990s with her mother, where she attended the seventh and the eighth grade of school. Her family returned to Georgia afterwards. Haratischwili later moved to Germany again in order to attend drama school in Hamburg. She became a German citizen in 2012.

Herman Koch (1953) is known as a television producer and a writer. The book 'Het diner', published in 2009, was his breakthrough in the Netherlands. It was published in 17 countries. It was partly based on a true story involving a homeless woman named, María del Rosario Endrinal Petit, in Barcelona (Spain), in December 2005.

Koch was born in Arnhem, and later moved to Amsterdam. He studied Russian for some months, and lived in Finland for a while. Nowadays he is married to the Spanish Amalia, and has a son, Pablo (1994).
