Jahanara Imam
Jahanara Imam (Bangla: জাহানারা ইমাম) was a Bangladeshi writer and political activist. She is most widely remembered for her efforts to bring those accused of committing war crimes in the Bangladesh Liberation War to trial. She was known as "Shaheed Janani" (Mother of Martyrs).
She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in 1947 from Lady Brabourne College of Calcutta University and a Master's Degree from University of Dhaka. She took teaching as her career.
After Bangladesh achieved independence, Jahanara Imam started her literary career. In 1986 she published her wartime diary একাত্তরের দিনগুলি (The days of Seventy One). Publication of this book was a seminal event in the history of Bangladesh. It proved to be a catalyst for the renewal of faith in

Syed Waliullah was born on 15 August 1922 at Sholashahar in Chittagong. After completing his Bachelor’s from Ananda Mohan College in Mymensingh, he enrolled at Calcutta University but did not complete his Master’s. Syed Mujtaba Ali was born in Karimganj district (in present-day Assam, India). In 1919, he was inspired by Rabindranath Tagore and started writing to the poet. In 1921, Mujtaba joined the Indian freedom struggle and left his school in Sylhet. He went to Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan and graduated in 1926.
