Golam Mostofa
গোলাম মোস্তফা একজন বাঙালি লেখক এবং কবি। তিনি বাংলা সাহিত্যে মুসলিম রেঁনেসার কবি নামে পরিচিত।
গোলাম মোস্তফার জন্ম ১৮৯৭ সালে যশোর জেলার ঝিনাইদহ মহকুমার শৈলকূপা থানার অন্তর্গত মনোহরপুর গ্রামে। তাঁর পিতা ও পিতামহ ছিলেন সাহিত্যানুরাগী-ফারসী ও আরবী ভাষায় সুপণ্ডিত। তাঁর তিন পুত্রের মাঝে একজন হলেন বিখ্যাত পাপেটনির্মাতা ও চিত্রশিল্পী মুস্তফা মনোয়ার।
মুসলিম জাগরণের অগ্রদূত হিসেবে বাংলা সাহিত্যে তাঁর অবদান এক বিরল দৃষ্টান্ত। স্কুলজীবনেই এই কবির সাহিত্য প্রতিভার বিকাশ ঘটে। এ সময় তাঁর ‘আর্দ্রিয়ানোপল উদ্ধার’ কবিতাটি মাসিক মোহাম্মদী পত্রিকায় প্রকাশিত হয়। তাঁর প্রথম কাব্য গ্রন্থ ‘রক্তরাগ’ প্রকাশিত হলে বিশ্বকবি রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর তাঁকে কবিতার মাধ্যমে অভিনন্দিত করেছিলেন।

Syed Waliullah
Syed Waliullah was born on 15 August 1922 at Sholashahar in Chittagong. After completing his Bachelor’s from Ananda Mohan College in Mymensingh, he enrolled at Calcutta University but did not complete his Master’s. Proficient in both Bangla and English, he worked for the Statesman during 1945-1947. After the Partition, he moved to Dhaka and joined Radio Pakistan as assistant news editor.
