Kenichirō "Ken" Mogi (茂木 健一郎 Mogi Kenichirō) is a Japanese scientist. He is a senior researcher at Sony Computer Science Laboratories and a visiting professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. According to the profile posted at his personal blog, his mission is "to solve the so-called mind-brain problem."
After graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1985 with a degree in science and in 1987 with a degree in law, Mogi received in 1992 a Ph.D. with the thesis "Mathematical Model of Muscle Contraction".

Pierre Boulle (20 February 1912 – 30 January 1994) was a French novelist best known for two works, The Bridge over the River Kwai (1952) and Planet of the Apes (1963) that were both made into award-winning films.
Boulle was an engineer serving as a secret agent with the Free French in Singapore, when he was captured and subjected to two years' forced labour. He used these experiences in The Bridge over the River Kwai, about the notorious Death Railway, which became an international bestseller. Heidi Linde er født i Asker i 1973. Hun har gått på forfatterstudiet i Bø og er utdannet manusforfatter fra den Norske Filmskolen på Lillehammer. Hun debuterte med barneboka Myggstikk i 1998, og i 2002 kom den første romanen Under bordet. Hun har også skrevet radiodramatikk, og gikk av med seieren i den nordiske hørespillkåringen i Helsinki i 2008 for hørespillet Schmokk.

Antje Rávic Strubel
Antje Rávic Strubel (geb. 1974) lebt und arbeitet als Schriftstellerin in Potsdam. Nach dem Abitur machte sie in Berlin eine Ausbildung zur Buchhändlerin, bevor sie an der Universität Potsdam und der New York University Literaturwissenschaften, Amerikanistik und Psychologie studierte und 2001 ihr Studium abschloß. In New York arbeitete sie als Beleuchterin an einem Off-Off-Theater in Greenwich Village, das später zum Schauplatz ihres ersten Romans „Offene Blende“ wurde. Mit Erscheinen des Buches entschied sie sich für einen Autorinnamen; sie ergänzte ihren bürgerlichen Namen um den Namen Rávic, der eine Erfindung ist. Er bezeichnet eine weitere Identität, die ihrer Person während des Schreibens zukommt.

She is a graduate of New York University, where she studied English literature. She returned to Norway in 1990 to pursue a career in journalism.
Her first novel Before You Sleep was published in 1998. Her second novel, Stella Descending (2001) received glowing reviews. Her third novel Grace was published in 2002 and won the prominent literary award “The reader’s prize” in Norway and was named one of the ten best novels of that year by the prestigious Danish newspaper Weekendavisen.
In 2007, Grace was longlisted for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize in the UK. That same year, Ullmann was awarded the prestigeous Norwegian
