Timo Miettinen

Timo Miettinen (s. 26. maaliskuuta 1981) on eurooppalaiseen filosofiaan, politiikkaan ja aatehistoriaan erikoistunut akatemiatutkija ja Helsingin yliopiston dosentti.

Miettinen väitteli tohtoriksi vuonna 2013. Hänen väitöskirjansa kuului filosofian alaan ja käsitteli Euroopan ideaa Edmund Husserlin ajattelussa (The Idea of Europe in Husserl's Phenomenology: A Study in Generativity and Historicity). Hän on väitöksensä jälkeen tutkinut muun muassa saksalaisen talouspolitiikan historiaa sekä modernin ajan Eurooppa-käsityksiä. Hän työskenteli vuonna 2023 vierailevana tutkijana Firenzen EUI-yliopiston School of Transnational Governance -yksikössä.

Andrey Kurkov is a Russian and Ukrainian writer who writes in Russian (fiction) and Ukrainian (non-fiction).

Kurkov was born in the small town of Budogoszcz, Russia, on April 23, 1961. When he was young, his family moved to Kyiv, Ukraine. In 1983 Kurkov graduated from the Kyiv Pedagogical Academy of Foreign Languages and later also completed a training in Japanese translation.

Among Kurkov's most famous Russian novels are 'Smert postoronnego' (1996, translated into English in 2001 under the title 'Death and the Penguin') and 'Zakon ulitki' (2002, translated into English in 2005 as 'Penguin lost)'. Kurkov's only Ukrainian non-fiction book is 'Ruh "Emanus": istoriya solidarnosti' (2017).

Timothy Snyder is Housum Professor of History at Yale University and a permanent fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences. Pirkko Saisio (s. 16. huhtikuuta 1949 Helsinki) on suomalainen kirjailija, näyttelijä ja ohjaaja. Hän on kirjoittanut myös salanimillä Jukka Larsson ja Eva Wein. Saisiolla on laaja kirjallinen tuotanto, joka romaanien ja näytelmien ohella käsittää monenlaisia tekstejä elokuvakäsikirjoituksista aina balettilibretoihin asti. Mikhail Pavlovich Shishkin (Russian: Михаил Павлович Шишкин, born 18 January 1961) is a Russian writer.
Mikhail Shishkin was born in 1961 in Moscow.
Shishkin studied English and German at Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. After graduation he worked as a street sweeper, road worker, journalist, school teacher, and translator. He debuted as a writer in 1993, when his short story "Calligraphy Lesson" was published in Znamya magazine. Since 1995 he has lived in Zurich, Switzerland. He averages one book every five years.

Emma Holten (born 1991) is a Danish-Swedish feminist debater, online humans rights activist and editor of the Danish magazine Friktion. Holten graduated from the University of Copenhagen with a master's degree in literary science.
