Keum Suk Gendry-Kim was born in the town of Goheung in Jeolla Province, a town famous for its beautiful mountains and sea. Her graphic novels include The Song of My Father, Jiseul, and Kogaeyi, which have been translated and published in France. She also wrote and illustrated The Baby Hanyeo Okrang Goes to Dokdo, A Day with My Grandpa, and My Mother Kang Geumsun. In 2002 Radice started working for the Italian Disney magazine Topolino. For almost twenty years she scripted comics featuring such characters as Mickey, Donald, Scrooge, Goofy.
Since 2004 Radice has been involved in an artistic partnership with her husband, illustrator Stefano Turconi, also a prolific Italian Disney cartoonist. Since 2013 Radice and Turconi have published a number of graphic novels, which have received praises in Italy and France. Born in 1996 in San Diego, California, Walden graduated from the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont, where she is currently a professor.
Walden started publishing short comics when she was just a teenager. Her first long-form graphic novel The End of Summer was published by the British publisher Avery Hill in 2015. Her second book I Love This Part came out only a few months later, winning the 2016 Ignatz Award for promising new talent.
