I started writing in middle school with a good old-fashioned pencil and paper. Jotting down ideas of characters, adventures, and different worlds.
In my thirties, with the encouragement of my husband, I began writing... and writing... until I finally created my first trilogy(That story is yet to be told).
After the birth of our two daughters and work, I had to find the quiet 5 am mornings and the secluded nights after bedtime to finally give voice to my ideas. My greatest wish was to write my stories and to have others read and enjoy them with me.
So please enjoy what I have created.

Serena Pier
Serena Pier is a recovering girl boss, mom, and wife. After being called a brat for as long as she can remember, she decided to lean into it—writing sassy, strong, complex female characters who fully embrace the sexy side of the word. Her books are influenced by her endless fascination with power dynamics and how they play out in relationships, workplaces, and everyday life. Most of her stories are set in and around Chicago, paying tribute to her Midwestern roots and love of all things dairy. When she isn’t in front of a screen, Serena can be found pontooning with her family, enjoying a glass of wine with friends, and driving as fast as she can on the track. Rhiannon Hargadon
There was a willow I loved by a creek; sometimes I slept there. I was never afraid, alone in the dark. There was nothing to fear from water and trees and fairytales.

Can we forgive injustice?
Do we accept the fate forced upon us?
Should we fight, no matter the cost?
How do we move on from great loss?
What would you trade to relive one moment?
I write folklore and mythology inspired dark fantasy. Emphasis on dark. I don't shy away from serious issues and emotions: suicide, depression, mental illness, abuse, death, infertility, and assault are all in my books. These are not for pleasure or shock value, but because I want to write about authentic pain and suffering, and how we heal ourselves through the bad th -

Taylor Jakovina
Hi, I’m Taylor Jakovina — author of the psychological thriller What She Walked Into.

I write stories about buried memories, unreliable narrators, and small towns full of secrets. My debut novel follows Sophia Whitaker, who wakes up sleepwalking over her classmate’s buried body with no memory of how she got there. It’s a book about memory, silence, and the dangerous things we choose not to say.
When I’m not writing, I work in data analytics (which is really just another way of solving puzzles). I’m also a big fan of late-night thriller binges, indie bookstores, and long walks with my husband and dogs, Peaches & Cece.
📚 My debut, What She Walked Into, is available on Amazon and online wherever books are sold.
