Escritor venezolano.
Ha publicado los libros de cuentos Una larga fila de hombres (Monte Ávila, 2005), Los Invencibles (Random House Mondadori, 2007), Las rayas (Punto Cero, 2011), Emuntorios (El Malpensante, 2018) y Los terneros (Páginas de Espuma, 2018). Por sus cuentos ha recibido diversos reconocimientos dentro y fuera de Venezuela. En 2007 fue seleccionado por el Hay Festival para formar parte de la primera edición de Bogotá 39. En 2013 fue escritor invitado del International Writing Program de la Universidad de Iowa.

Ismail Kadare (also spelled Kadaré) was an Albanian novelist and poet. He has been a leading literary figure in Albania since the 1960s. He focused on short stories until the publication of his first novel, The General of the Dead Army. In 1996 he became a lifetime member of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences of France. Jenny Erpenbeck is the daughter of the physicist, philosopher and writer John Erpenbeck and the Arabic translator Doris Kilias. Her grandparents are the authors Fritz Erpenbeck and Hedda Zinner. In Berlin she attended an Advanced High School, where she graduated in 1985.
