Pierre Jarawan

Pierre Jarawan 1985 wurde als Sohn eines libanesischen Vaters und einer deutschen Mutter in Amman, Jordanien, geboren, nachdem diese vor dem Bürgerkrieg geflohen waren. Im Alter von drei Jahren kam er mit seiner Familie nach Deutschland. 2012 wurde er Internationaler Deutschsprachiger Meister im Poetry Slam. Sein Romandebüt „Am Ende bleiben die Zedern“ (2016), für das er Auszeichnungen und Preise erhielt, war ein Sensationserfolg und ist heute, übersetzt in viele Sprachen, ein internationaler Bestseller. Im März 2020 erscheint sein lang erwarteter neuer Roman „Ein Lied für die Vermissten“. Pierre Jarawan lebt in München.

Sebastian Haffner

Sebastian Haffner (the pseudonym for Raimund Pretzel) was a German journalist and author whose focus was the history of the German Reich (1871-1945). His books dealt with the origins and course of the First World War, the failure of the Weimar Republic and the subsequent rise and fall of Nazi Germany under Hitler.

In 1938 he emigrated from Nazi Germany with his Jewish fiancée to London, hardly able to speak English but becoming rapidly proficient in the language. He adopted the pseudonym Sebastian Haffner so that his family back in Germany would not be endangered by his writing.

Nino Haratischwili

Nino Haratischwili (Georgian: ნინო ხარატიშვილი) is a Georgian-born German novelist, playwright, and theater director.

Haratischwili was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she attended a German-language school. To escape the political and social chaos that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union, she moved to Germany for two years in the early 1990s with her mother, where she attended the seventh and the eighth grade of school. Her family returned to Georgia afterwards. Haratischwili later moved to Germany again in order to attend drama school in Hamburg. She became a German citizen in 2012.

Caroline Wahl

Caroline Wahl (born 1995 in Mainz) is a German author. Her debut novel, 22 Bahnen, was published in April 2023 by DuMont Buchverlag. After her school days, she studied German studies and German literature in Tübingen and Berlin. After that and among other things, she worked as a publishing assistant of the Diogenes Verlag in Zürich. Her love of the sea led her to Northern Germany in 2022 where she worked for a communications agency in Rostock. Since the success of her debut novel, she lives as an independent author in the Hansestadt.
