Pedro Cayuqueo es periodista y escritor. Fundador y director de los periódicos Azkintuwe y MapucheTimes. Es columnista estable en The Clinic, La Tercera y revista Caras. Forma parte del Consejo Editorial de la Agencia Internacional de Prensa Indígena (RED-AIPIN) y del Consejo Consultivo del Instituto Nacional de Derechos Humanos (INDH). En 2011 fue premiado por el Colegio de Periodistas de Chile y en 2013 recibió el Premio a la Integridad del Periodismo Iberoamericano, otorgado por el North American Congress on Latin America y la Universidad de Nueva York.
