Olivier van Beemen

Olivier van Beemen (1979) is schrijver en journalist. Hij was jarenlang werkzaam als correspondent in Parijs voor onder meer Elsevier, Knack en Het Financieele Dagblad, en schreef daarover het veelgeprezen boek In Parijs.

Olivier van Beemen bijt zich sinds vijf jaar vast in Heineken. In Heineken in Afrika om precies te zijn. Hij publiceert daarover in onder meer NRC, Le Monde, De Correspondent en Follow the Money. Het onderwerp heeft hem dermate gegrepen dat hij er eveneens op hoopt te promoveren, bij politicologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam.

Hij schreef de boeken In Parijs (2009), Heineken in Afrika (2015) en Bier voor Afrika (2018).

Otto de Kat is de auteur van de kleine roman Man in de verte, die in 1998 verscheen. De roman werd goed ontvangen en er volgde snel een Duitse en een Engelse vertaling. Otto de Kat is het pseudoniem van Jan Geurt Gaarlandt (Rotterdam, 1946). Hij was directeur van Uitgeverij Balans en voorheen literair criticus bij de Volkskrant en Vrij Nederland. Nino Haratischwili (Georgian: ნინო ხარატიშვილი) is a Georgian-born German novelist, playwright, and theater director.

Haratischwili was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she attended a German-language school. To escape the political and social chaos that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union, she moved to Germany for two years in the early 1990s with her mother, where she attended the seventh and the eighth grade of school. Her family returned to Georgia afterwards. Haratischwili later moved to Germany again in order to attend drama school in Hamburg. She became a German citizen in 2012.
