İstanbul'da doğdu. Bisiklet tamiriyle uğraştı, ufak tefek sihirbazlık numaraları öğrendi ve amatör olarak boksla ilgilendi. Yediği yumruklar dayanılmaz bir raddeye gelince, ringlere veda edip şiir yazmaya koyuldu. Dergilerde, yayınevlerinde, gazetelerde çalıştı. Kaosa Mütevazı Bir Katkı'da [2001, Şûle Yayınları] medyanın bozucu ve yıkıcı tesirlerini konu etti; Aynalı Barikatlar'da [2003, Şûle Yayınları] ise terörün gündelik hayatlarımıza sindiğini öne sürdü.

Şiir yazmaya lise 1. sınıfta başladı. Şiirleri; Yedi İklim, Şehrengiz, Dergâh, Atlılar'da yer aldı. İlk kitabı Kuzgun'un Gölgesi [Şiir, Yedi İklim Yayınları] 1996'nın son günlerinde yayınlandı. İletişim Yayınları'ndan çıkan Dublörün Dilemması[2005] ve Korkma Ben Varım[2009] adlı romanlar

Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar (23 June 1901 - 24 January 1962) was one of the most important modern novelists and essayists of Turkish literature. He was also a member of the Turkish parliament (the Grand National Assembly of Turkey) between 1942 and 1946.

Hakan Günday was born in Rhodes in 1976. He finished his primary education in Brussels. After attending Ankara Tevfik Fikret High School, he studied at the Department of French Translator in the Faculty of Literature of Hacettepe University. He then transferred to Université Libre de Bruxelles. Günday continued his study in the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University. He published his first novel, Kinyas ve Kayra, in 2000.

Sabahattin Ali

Sabahattin Ali (February 25, 1907 – April 2, 1948) was a Turkish novelist, short-story writer, poet, and journalist.

He was born in 1907 in Eğridere township (now Ardino in southern Bulgaria) of the Sanjak of Gümülcine (now Komotini in northern Greece), in the Ottoman Empire. He lived in Istanbul, Çanakkale and Edremit before he entered the School of Education in Balıkesir. Then, he was transferred to the School of Education in Istanbul, where he graduated in 1926. After serving as a teacher in Yozgat for one year, he earned a fellowship from the Ministry of National Education and studied in Germany from 1928 to 1930.
