Andrew Wood was born in Oxford, England, and grew up in the midland county of Shropshire. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 to pursue a career as a professional golfer. Unfortunately lack of talent held him back, and he accidentally found himself running a small karate school in Southern California. After struggling to survive for eighteen months as a small business owner, he decided to focus all his attention on marketing. This focus soon paid off, and he quickly increased his income to six figures while still in his twenties.

Mike Dowd has been the PGA General Manager/COO and Head Golf Professional at Oakdale Golf & Country Club in Oakdale, California since 2001, is the NCPGA's 2013 Bill Strausbaugh Award Winner, and was nominated for the NCPGA's 2016 Teacher of the Year. He served three terms on the Northern California PGA's Board of Directors and chaired the Committees for the Growth of the Game and Communications in that time. He has introduced thousands of people to the game of golf since turning professional in 1990 and has coached dozens of collegiate and professional athletes, including his daughter Isabella who has just accepted a scholarship to play for Jessup University.

Originally an aspiring professional golfer, Mike Guillen, The Golf Author, turned to writing as a creative outlet after a knee injury sidelined his career. His first book, Professional Golf for the Rest of Us, provides a brief look into what it takes to play the game at a professional level.
The crowning achievement of his publishing career thus far has been his first fiction novel, Stitched. Loosely based on his life as a teenager, the story revolves around a young man's journey from living in a maintenance barn to finding a family and pursuing his dream of professional golf.
He currently resides in his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona.
