Marcelo D’Salete (São Paulo, 1979) é autor de histórias em quadrinhos e professor de artes visuais na Escola de Aplicação, instituição pública de ensino fundamental e médio, do Museu de Arte Contemporânea da USP. É autor ainda dos títulos Cumbe, que aborda a resistência negra contra a escravidão no Brasil colônia, Encruzilhadas, que retrata a juventude negra marginalizada das grandes cidades, e do épico Angola Janga - Uma história de Palmares, criado a partir da pesquisa de onze anos a respeito dos antigos mocambos da Serra da Barriga, o Quilombo dos Palmares.

Joe Sacco was born in Malta on October 2, 1960. At the age of one, he moved with his family to Australia, where he spent his childhood until 1972, when they moved to Los Angeles. He began his journalism career working on the Sunset High School newspaper in Beaverton, Oregon. While journalism was his primary focus, this was also the period of time in which he developed his penchant for humor and satire. He graduated from Sunset High in 1978.

Conceição Evaristo

Conceição Evaristo was born in a slum in the south of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais / Brazil. She had to reconcile her studies with work as a domestic worker, until she completed her first years of study in 1971, at the age of 25. She then moved to Rio de Janeiro, where she passed a public competition for teaching and graduated in Letters at UFRJ.

In the 1980s, she contacted Grupo Quilombhoje. She debuted in literature in 1990, with works published in the series Cadernos Negros, published by the organization.
