Lizzy Stewart is a British illustrator and author currently based in London. She has written and illustrated various books for children and adults. Mary and I were always creating imaginary characters and mimicking real ones, and I used to write shows and choreograph ballets for us. A wind-up gramophone wafted out Chopin waltzes.
I studied Drama and French at Bristol University, where I met Malcolm, a guitar-playing medic to whom I’m now married.

Gareth Brookes
Gareth Brookes is a graphic novelist, print maker, textile artist, small press publisher, teacher, event organiser and researcher. He graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2003. He makes experimental graphic novels and handmade comics utilising unusual materials such as embroidery, pressed flowers and fire. In 2012 Brookes won the First Graphic Novel Prize.
