Korena Di Roma Howley
Korena Di Roma Howley grew up in Asia and the U.S. and always had plenty of books in tow while traveling around the Pacific. A freelance journalist and editor, Korena primarily reports on science news and education for multiple outlets. Her debut picture book, Sarang Saves the School, a Junior Library Guild Selection, is illustrated by Joowon Oh and will be released by Candlewick on July 8, 2025. Her second picture book, A Hanbok for Hana, also with Candlewick and illustrated by Jaime Kim, will be published in 2026. She lives in Virginia with her husband and son.

Marcus Pfister
Marcus Pfister was born in Berne, Switzerland, and began his career as a graphic artist in an advertising agency. In 1983, he decided to dedicate more time to artistic pursuits, and began to write and illustrate his first book, The Sleepy Owl, which was published in 1986. Evelyn has always loved to read. Her favorite part of the week was when the school bus stopped at the library on the way home. Everyone flocked in, as if they had never seen a book before in their lives, and dove for their favorites before it was too late!
And with only two TV channels at the time, and no internet, she played JINX... a lot! She was eventually released from a particularly long JINX, so that she could study English at university and later became a teacher.
