Jaume Cabré
Jaume Cabré i Fabré (Barcelona, 1947) is a philologist and Catalan writer.
Graduated in Catalan Philology by the University of Barcelona, high-school professor in leave of absence and teacher to the University of Lleida, member of the Philological Section of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans.
During many years he has combined literary writing with teaching. He has also worked in the television and cinematographic scripting. With Joaquim Maria Puyal he was the creator and scriptwriter of the first Catalan television series: La Granja (1989-1992), after which followed other titles like Estació d'Enllaç (1994-1998), Crims (2000) and the tvmovies La dama blanca (1987), Nines russes (2003) and Sara (2003). Zyranna Zateli
Zyranna Zateli (Greek: Ζυράννα Ζατέλη) is an acclaimed Greek novelist born in Thessaloniki in 1951. She attended a drama school from 1976-1979 and then worked as an actress and radio producer, before becoming a full-time writer. She won the National Book Prize for Literature in 1994 and 2002.

Dzimis Jura Dziļuma un Helēnas Šteinertes ģimenē, vectēva Indriķa Dziļuma mājā – Doles pagasta “Jeņčos” –, jo ugunsgrēks bija nopostījis Baldones “Pūriņus”, kur bija ieprecējies viņa tēvs, turklāt abas saimniecības šķīra vien robežupīte Ķekaviņa. Agri zaudējis vecākus.
Kad tika dalīts tēva mantojums, ieguva zemesgabalu, kur vēlāk izveidoja savu saimniecību un uzcēla “Rietumu” mājas; šajā laikā viņš nodibināja ģimeni, kurā dzimuši divi dēli.

Ramon Solsona
Ramon Solsona i Sancho (Barcelona, 1950) és un escriptor, periodista i publicista català. Llicenciat en Filologia Romànica i professor de secundària en excedència, destaca pel seu estil irònic i per les nombroses collaboracions amb mitjans de premsa escrita (Avui, Diari de Barcelona) i de ràdio (Catalunya Ràdio), actualment és collaborador al programa de ràdio El món a RAC 1, de l'emisora Rac 1, en la secció "La paraula del dia".

També ha estat poeta (satíric) amb el pseudònim Lo Gaiter del Besòs. La seva novella Les hores detingudes va conquerir tres premis literaris el mateix any i va ser traduïda al castellà. Vicenç Pagès Jordà
Vicenç Pagès Jordà va néixer l'any 1963 a Figueres. El 1989 va guanyar la Biennal de Barcelona en l'apartat de literatura, i l'any següent va aparèixer el seu primer llibre, el recull de contes titulat Cercles d'infinites combinacions (ed. Empúries). El 1991 va publicar l'obra de bricolatge textual titulada Grandeses i misèries dels premis literaris (Llibres de l'Índex), formada per un miler de citacions. L'any 1995 va aparèixer la seva obra més ambiciosa, El món d'Horaci (ed. Empúries), una novel·la que es troba a mig camí entre la ficció i l'assaig creatiu. L'any 1997 va veure la llum el seu llibre de més èxit, la novel·la curta Carta a la reina d'Anglaterra (ed. Empúries), que narra en cent pàgines mil anys de la vida del protagonista.
