Jack Meyer
Jack became intrigued by thrillers when Tom Clancy's The Hunt for Red October was published in 1984. For the next 16 years he was content to read as much as he could and didn’t give writing much thought. That changed, however, during the 2000 Presidential election as he watched TV coverage of the Florida recount and the “hanging chads” controversy. It gave him the idea that an election conspiracy would be a great basis for a thriller. Unfortunately his career, which included management positions in corporate America and small business ownership as well as a brief stint in ministry, kept Jack too busy to write until he retired in 2020. That’s when he began his life as an author.
He has plans for a fourth book and more, and enjoys interacting

You could say writing is in my genes. My paternal grandmother was a formidable diarist; my father was a journalist and poet; my sister and cousin are both published authors; even my son has shown a talent for putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) to tell awesome stories. So, it came as no surprise to anyone when I returned to my love of fiction after more than 20 years in the world of corporate communications–although some might argue there was plenty of opportunity for fiction-writing there, too.

And in recent memory there had been a time when every winter was spent digging long trenches by hand, right across wide, heavy clay fields, back and forth, right through the day, in order to drain the water-logged earth. Mark Parragh
Growing up in rural Virginia, Mark Parragh seized on stories—spy stories in particular—to escape the isolation and monotony of real life. He grew up with a deep love for old James Bond movies and Mission Impossible reruns on TV, and survived on a cache of forgotten paperbacks he discovered in the attic. He devoured books by Alistair MacLean, Eric Ambler, and Robert Ludlum when he was clearly too young and impressionable to be reading such things.
