Elmar, Iny Lorentz' Ehemann und Co-Autor, stammt aus Bayern und wuchs in einem kleinen Bauerndorf mit fünf Höfen auf. Sein Interesse für Literatur wurde von seiner Religionslehrerin schon früh erkannt und nach Kräften gefördert. Ebenso wie seine spätere Ehefrau begann er bereits als Schüler zu schreiben.
