Geboren und aufgewachsen bin ich im nordbadischen Pforzheim, zusammen mit zwei älteren Geschwistern, einem Hund, zwei Meerschweinchen und einer Goldhamsterzucht.
Nach dem Abitur folgte eine eher unruhige, wenngleich spannende Zeit: Nach einem dreimonatigen Praktikum auf einem Biobauernhof im idyllischen Emmental studierte ich zunächst Tiermedizin, dann Theaterwissenschaft, Literatur und Romanistik in München, Avignon und Freiburg. Danach brachte mich meine erste Arbeitsstelle als Fachzeitschriften-Redakteurin nach Darmstadt, später ging es wieder zurück nach Freiburg, wo ich insgesamt die meisten Jahre verbracht habe.
In diese Zeit Ende der Achtziger fielen auch mehrere Monate der Arbeitslosigkeit, in denen ich mich mit Literaturbesprechungen

Caroline Wahl
Caroline Wahl (born 1995 in Mainz) is a German author. Her debut novel, 22 Bahnen, was published in April 2023 by DuMont Buchverlag. After her school days, she studied German studies and German literature in Tübingen and Berlin. After that and among other things, she worked as a publishing assistant of the Diogenes Verlag in Zürich. Her love of the sea led her to Northern Germany in 2022 where she worked for a communications agency in Rostock.
