Real Name Roland Goossens
Né le 1er mars 1937 à Thy-le-Château, Gos a effectué une carrière militaire dans la marine belge, pendant onze ans. Parallèlement, il se rode le soir et durant ses temps de loisirs à la bande dessinée. Son apprentissage fut avant tout un acharnement personnel et une longue recherche en solitaire. Il réalisa sa première bande dessinée "Quand on est dans les cols bleus", une histoire humoristique d'une dizaine de pages, en 1961 pour la revue militaire NOS FORCES. Gos fit ensuite la connaissance de Peyo qui lui permit de se faire la main en exécutant des travaux de lettrage.
