Dr. Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu, Ankara’da doğdu. TED Ankara Koleji’nden mezun olduktan sonra eğitimine Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde devam etti. Öğrenciliği sırasında, TRT televizyonlarında spikerlik ve sunuculuk yaptı. İhtisasını yaptığı Hacettepe Üniversitesi Psikiyatri bölümünde, on yıl da öğretim görevlisi olarak hizmet verdi. Yıllarca muayene hekimliği yaptıktan sonra, 2005’te Türkiye’nin ilk psikiyatri merkezi olan ve halen Ankara ve İstanbul’da hizmet veren Madalyon Psikiyatri Merkezi-Madalyon Klinik’i kurdu. She was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1946. Her grandfather was Atatürk's personal secretary. After finishing Kadıköy Private College for Girls, she graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in pedagogy. Then, she worked for two years in the children’s clinic of Haseki Hospital and in the children’s home of the Istanbul University as a pedagogue.

Ayşe Kulin is a Turkish contemporary novelist and columnist.
Kulin graduated in literature from the American College for Girls in Arnavutköy. She released a collection of short stories titled Güneşe Dön Yüzünü in 1984. A short story from this called Gülizar was made into a film titled Kırık Bebek in 1986, for which she won a screenplay award from the Turkish culture ministry.
