Gábor Vida

A kolozsvári Babeș–Bolyai Tudományegyetem Bölcsészkarán jár egyetemre magyar–francia szakra. 1993-ban az Éber című egyetemi lap szerkesztője. 1994-ben szerez diplomát, azóta Marosvásárhelyen él. A Látó Szépirodalmi Folyóirat próza rovatának szerkesztője.

1998-ban vitaindító tanulmányt közöl a Látó folyóiratban, biztatva írótársait a romániai magyar irodalom történetének megírására, a kérdés problémás voltának átgondolására.

Hagyományos prózát ír. Példaképeinek a klasszikus szerzőket tekinti (Jókai, Mikszáth, Krúdy, Móricz, Kemény Zsigmond, Hamvas Béla, Platón, Dosztojevszkij, Jack London), több interjúban is elhatárolódik a posztmodern irodalomtól. Ars poétikáját a következő idézet tükrözi:

Imre Kertész

Born in Budapest in 1929, during World War II Imre Kertész was imprisoned at Auschwitz in 1944 and later at Buchenwald. After the war and repatriation, Kertész soon ended his brief career as a journalist and turned to translation, specializing in German language works. He later emigrated to Berlin. László Krasznahorkai

László Krasznahorkai is a Hungarian novelist and screenwriter who is known for critically difficult and demanding novels, often labelled as postmodern, with dystopian and bleak melancholic themes. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2025.

He is probably best known through the oeuvre of the director Béla Tarr, who has collaborated with him on several movies.

Sabahattin Ali

Sabahattin Ali (February 25, 1907 – April 2, 1948) was a Turkish novelist, short-story writer, poet, and journalist.

He was born in 1907 in Eğridere township (now Ardino in southern Bulgaria) of the Sanjak of Gümülcine (now Komotini in northern Greece), in the Ottoman Empire. He lived in Istanbul, Çanakkale and Edremit before he entered the School of Education in Balıkesir. Then, he was transferred to the School of Education in Istanbul, where he graduated in 1926. After serving as a teacher in Yozgat for one year, he earned a fellowship from the Ministry of National Education and studied in Germany from 1928 to 1930. When he returned to Turkey, he taught German language in high schools at Aydın and Konya.
