Fernando Rosas

FERNANDO ROSAS nasceu em Lisboa, a 18 de Abril de 1946. Licenciado em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa (1969), mestre em História dos séculos XIX e XX (1986) e doutorado em História Económica e Social Contemporânea pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1990).

Foi, entre 1996 e 2016, professor catedrático de História Contemporânea. Em 2019 tornou-se o primeiro professor emérito da NOVA/FCSH, distinção pelo seu percurso académico ímpar. Na mesma faculdade, foi Presidente do Instituto de História Contemporânea (1995-2012). Entre 1988 e 1995, integrou o conselho de redacção da revista Penélope – Fazer e Desfazer a História. Entre 1994 e 2007, dirigiu a revista História.
