Eppu Nuotio

EN: Eppu Nuotio (real name Eija-Riitta Nuotio, maiden name Silvennoinen) is Finnish writer and actor. She grew up in Iisalmi and graduated from Iisalmi High School in 1981. Nuotio is married to musician and director Kurt Nuotio and has three children with him. The family lives in Southwest Finland.

Her literary work concentrates mainly to children's literature. Part of her adult literature are series Varkaus and Pii Marin.

As an actor she has worked in several TV series. She has also written columns to newspapers and has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors since 2002. Nuotio has also worked as teacher of performing arts, translator, director and playwriter.

Anna Margrét Sigurðardóttir
