Nevenka Videk rodila se u Zagrebu 3.12.1953. godine. U Zagrebu je završila i gimnaziju, 1972. godine te je 1977. godine diplomirala književnost na Filozofskom fakultetu.

Odmah nakon studija, zaposlila se u zagrebačkom Kazalištu lutaka gdje je radila kao inspicijent sve do 1981. godine. Nakon toga zaposlila se u Leksikografskom zavodu u kojem radi i danas, a njezin posao obuhvaća pisanje i objavljivanje enciklopedija.
Napisala je mnogo slikovnica i knjiga za djecu, a neke od najpoznatijih su: "Pismo iz Zelengrada", "Pitalice pjevalice", "Kralj rođen u štalici", "Zagonetna abeceda", "Danijel među lavovima", "Tko se kako glasa" i mnoge druge.

Rođen je 20. travnja 1920. Ne zna se točno mjesto rođenja, nagađa se o Drveniku kod Konavala, gdje je proveo djetinjstvo ili Beogradu. Kao gimnazijalac smislio je slogan „Bilo kuda, Kiki svuda” za tvornicu Union (danas Kraš).

Počeo se baviti boksom u Dubrovniku. Meč karijere imao je u Dubrovniku, 11. travnja 1943. protiv prvaka Italije Lodovica Giobbija. Pobijedio ga je, što se slavilo kao pobjeda nad Talijanima, koji su u to vrijeme za Drugog svjetskog rata okupirali Dalmaciju. Slijedećeg dana, talijanske vlasti su ga zatvorile na neko vrijeme u tvrđavu Lovrijenac.

Rođen je 7.siječnja 1940. godine u Novoj Gradiški. Diplomirao je na Pravnom fakultetu u Zagrebu 1977. godine. Radio je kao urednik u Studenskom listu, tajnik za kulturu u Novoj Gradiški, kao tajnik Društva hrvatskih književnika, kolumnist tjednika Danas, urednik dječjeg lista SMIB, urednik u Školskoj knjizi. Pseudonym für Ludger Jochmann. Jochmann wuchs im Ruhrgebiet auf. Er studierte Sozialpädagogik an der Universität Essen und Rhythmik an der Folkwangschule in Essen.
