Cleo Lampos
I was born in Colorado, but raised on farms in Iowa and Wisconsin. My father died when I was three years old, leaving my mother with my five year old sister and seventeen year old brother. Within a year, my brother joined the Navy, and a few years later, my mother remarried. When I went to Fort Atkinson High School in Wisconsin, it was my eighth school.( New students in my classrooms always got special attention from me.)
After graduating from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a major in elementary education and a minor in library science, I taught in a Chicago suburb for two years. There I met and married Vernon Lampos and taught one more year before settling down to raise three children. When my son entered first grade, I attended S

I am the published author of 12 books, all in the romance genre; everything from time travel, to historical, to contemporary. My newest release, "Checkmate" is the start of my break from the romance genre. It's still classified as a romantic thriller, but truthfully it's more thriller than romance. I'm not saying I won't ever write another romance, especially time travel. I'd have too many upset readers if I didn't. But, for now, I just needed try something new. In fact, my current manuscript, titled "We The People" takes me completely out of the romance genre. But more about that later.

"I'm not sure when someone decides to become a writer. I was once asked why I started and I said, 'I was tired of reading so decided to start writing!' Some dream about it but never do it and others are foolish enough to try. I have always loved Daphne DuMaurier's quote: 'Writers should be read and not seen or heard.' I loved the thought of writing but having anonymity at the same time. I doubt that can be achieved in today's world. I write for the pleasure of writing and I share it because I hope others will find joy in reading it."

Rachel Wesson was born in Kilkenny, Ireland but considers herself to be from the capital, Dublin as that's where she spent most of her life. Her dad brought Rachel and her two sisters out every Saturday to give their mother a break. He took them to the library and for ice-cream after. It took a long time for her sisters to forgive her for the hours she spent choosing her books!
She grew up driving everyone nuts asking them questions about what they did during the War or what side they were on in the 1916 rising etc. Finally her Granny told her to write her stories down so people would get the pleasure of reading them. In fact what Granny meant was everyone would get some peace while Rachel was busy writing!

I grew up on a ranch in southern Idaho. It is here that I developed a love of the land and animals, unspoiled places that when I'm there I sometimes think; "This country probably looked this way a 150 years ago." I'm so grateful that places like this still exist in our modern times. My desire to write started at a very young age - about nine, as I recall. And too, my interest in western history began around this time. I was a voracious reader of the various western history magazines. I felt a connection of sorts to the characters in these magazines as my great grandmother single handedly captured several bank robbers who came to my grandparent's ranch wanting food and water. Writing, however, was something that I did in my spare time until

As a teenager, she took the Greyhound bus from San Francisco to New York. Over those three days of staring out of the window at the majestic mountains and endless flat plains, stories wound themselves into her head: tales of brooding, charismatic men captivated by independent women.
Since then, she has worked in a coffee-shop in Piccadilly London, a famous bookstore, and a children’s home. She has run festivals, and turned a derelict housing block on one of the poorest estates in the UK into an award-winning arts centre.
During 2020 Imogen was selected by Kate Nash Literary Agency as one of their BookCamp mentees, a mentorship programme designed to accelerate the car
