Chris Hannon
Chris Hannon was the first winner of the New Writing South New Buds award in 2011, completed a Masters in Creative Writing in 2013 and published his first novel, a Victorian adventure novel; Perry Scrimshaw’s Rite of Passage, in 2015.
The first book in the Orca series, spy thriller Orca Rising was released in 2018 (Thistle Publishing) and was shortlisted and a finalist for The People’s Book Prize 2018. Orca Rogue Agent is his third novel.
Chris cares for fruit trees, a young son (not necessarily in that order) and in doing research for the book tried Aikido and now practices regularly at Takemusu Aikido Motril.

Chris Ryan
Colin Armstrong (b. 1961), usually known by the pen-name Chris Ryan, is a British author, television presenter, security consultant and former Special Air Service sergeant.

After the publication of fellow patrol member Andy McNab's Bravo Two Zero in 1993, Ryan published his own account of his experiences during the Bravo Two Zero mission in 1995, entitled The One That Got Away. Since retiring from the British Army Ryan has published several fiction and non-fiction books, including Strike Back, which was subsequently adapted into a television series for Sky 1, and co-created the ITV action series Ultimate Force. He has also presented or appeared in numerous television documentaries connected to the military or law enforcement. -
Charlie Higson
Higson was educated at Sevenoaks School and at the University of East Anglia (where his brother has taught since 1986 and is now a professor of film studies) where he met Paul Whitehouse, David Cummings and Terry Edwards. Higson, Cummings and Edwards formed the band The Higsons of which Higson was the lead singer from 1980 to 1986. They released two singles on the Specials' 2-Tone label. Higson then became a plasterer before he turned to writing for Harry Enfield with Paul Whitehouse and performing comedy. He came to public attention as one of the main writers and performers of the BBC Two sketch show The Fast Show (1994-2000). He worked with Whitehouse on the radio comedy Down the Line and is to work with him again on a television project,
