Amcası Ali Rıfat Bey değerli bir udî ve besteci, annesinin teyzesinin oğlu Ali Fuat Bey cumhuriyet devrinin ünlü asker ve siyaset adamı, teyzesi Celile Hanım bir ressam, teyzesi Celile Hanım’ın oğlu Nazım Hikmet ünlü bir şairdir.
