Antes de la novela Los pasos perdidos de Shakespeare publicó varias obras de investigación periodística: Los enigmas del caso Matute Johns (2001), De Sarajevo a Nueva York. Breve historia del terrorismo (2001) y El último secreto de Colonia. Dignidad, la desaparición de Boris Weisfeiler (2002). Se confiesa admirador incondicional de Arthur Conan Doyle, Jules Verne, William Shakespeare (fuera quien fuese) y Umberto Eco. De nacionalidad italiana y chilena, reside en Concepción, donde trabaja como asesor de comunicación.
