Barbara Lennox
I was born, and still live, in Scotland on the shores of a river, between the mountains and the sea. I’m a retired scientist and science administrator, but have always been fascinated by the early history of Scotland, and I love fleshing out that history with the stories of fictional, and not-so-fictional, characters.

Ian Hornett
With absolutely no inkling that he wanted to be an author, Ian was born in Colchester in 1964. Aged 19, he did a degree, which involved 3 years of playing around with sports equipment, before joining Customs & Excise. This job, alas, involved more serious adult behaviour and a lot less sporting fun. At 40, he became a primary teacher where he hoped to rekindle his love affair with sport. This did happen, even if a lot of time was spent tidying the P.E. shed. Teaching children how to write in an exciting way was an inspiration, however, and he still teaches.

Looking back at my life I can honestly say that it has never been dull!

After I got my degree, I had a career in marketing, never staying with one company for too long. There were highs as well as lows and being a woman in a male dominated environment was not easy.
At the same time, I had one disastrous relationship after another but at least I maintained my independence throughout. I’ve never been one to just accept the status quo; I’m always looking for new adventures.
I started writing in my forties and soon realised that being at my keyboard, creating characters and storylines, was where I became truly alive and life became thrilling and fun.
Luckily, by then I had had finally met the right man, now my husband, Tony. We moved to Suffolk and -
