AZIZI HJ.ABDULLAH (Hj. Azizi bin Hj. Abdullah) dilahirkan di Kampung Bukit Meryam, Kota Kuala Muda Kedah, pada 4 April 1942. Mendapat pendidikan di Sekolah Melayu Bukit Meryam dan Sekolah Melayu Kota Kuala Muda, Kedah sehingga darjah enam. Kemudian belajar di Sekolah Agama Dairatul Maarif Al-Wataniah,Kepala Batas Seberang Perai. Azizi mula menulis ketika di sekolah agama, kira-kira dalam tahun 60-an.
