AZIZI HJ.ABDULLAH (Hj. Azizi bin Hj. Abdullah) dilahirkan di Kampung Bukit Meryam, Kota Kuala Muda Kedah, pada 4 April 1942. Mendapat pendidikan di Sekolah Melayu Bukit Meryam dan Sekolah Melayu Kota Kuala Muda, Kedah sehingga darjah enam. Kemudian belajar di Sekolah Agama Dairatul Maarif Al-Wataniah,Kepala Batas Seberang Perai. Azizi mula menulis ketika di sekolah agama, kira-kira dalam tahun 60-an.

Pramoedya Ananta Toer was an Indonesian author of novels, short stories, essays, polemics, and histories of his homeland and its people. His father, syekh Abdul Karim Amrullah, known as Haji Rasul, led and inspired the reform movement in Sumatra.
